Shatnez Alert: Brooks Brothers Suit

mans-suitA consumer brought two 100% wool Brooks Brothers (Mexico) boy’s suits to the Edmonton Shatnez Laboratory. The customer wondered whether it was necessary to leave both suits for checking because they were identical in brand name and size and were purchased in the same store.

R’ Moshe White checked one and found that it contained a linen under-collar backing. He then expected that the second one was also shatnez. To his surprise, it was not shatnez.

    I do not understand your artical regardless were i buy my suits i must have them checked for shatnez what are these people thinking what is the alert all about. were did these people go to yeshiva?

    You are quite correct. According to the experts, ALL suits require checking to be certain there is no shatnez.
