fruitOn May 24th, JKN published an article addressing summer fruits, quoting a Kosharot organization bulletin.

JKN has since learned that Tnuva has limited its activities regarding fruits and vegetables, and while generally speaking, marketing is accomplished via packaging houses with a valid hechsher, Tnuva’s Rabbinate clarifies that Rabbi Ze’ev Whitman and his team do not assume responsibility for the fruits and vegetables regarding all matters, including trumot, ma’asrot and orla.

Therefore, one must validate the status of the produce received and one should not rely on Tnuva.
