Boris’ Bakery Nabbed…
Kashrut inspectors who arrived without prior notification at Boris’ Bakery (123 Livinsky Street, Tel Aviv), found labels for other products, “Borris’ specialties” and “Tuvlia’s specialties”, both claiming kashrut supervision from the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Rabbinate. It has been learned the items do not have any kosher supervision whatsoever. One should not buy anything from this company. Merlot Wine Alert
Ein Kerem Merlot Sira wine 2006 (barcode 7290003541430) states it is mehadrin min ha’mehadrin under the supervision of Rabbi Dov Lior Shlita and the OU USA, kosher of Passover. An inspection reveals the wine is a fraud and it does not have any kosher supervision. (See photo 1 on the left side in the original document at the end of this article).  (more…)

Muscat Lunch Bar Restaurant
During an inspection of the Muscat Lunch Bar Restaurant, 24 Ta’as Street, Kfar Saba, unidentified lamb fat was discovered. After questioning those in charge, inspectors learned the lamb fat was not kosher. As a result, the eatery’s kashrut certification was immediately revoked.   (more…)

Inspectors Attacked During Inspection of a Butcher Shop
A recent inspection of Shlomo and Tzuri Levy Butcher, located in Moshav Peduim, revealed the store was displaying a kashrut certificate from Yuval Cohen of Netivot, who is not authorized to give kashrut supervision as per the Kashrut Law of 1983. It should be pointed out that Cohen’s supervision only came about after the Merchavim Rabbanut removed its kashrut from the butcher shop for gross kashrut violations. (more…)

Warning – Non-Kosher Lamb Fat

The New Rishon L’Tzion Industrial Park - 050-766-8444
Agriculture inspectors found cartons of lamb fat bearing the label “Beit Basar” which were marked as kosher. It was learned the fat came from lamb that was not de-veined, an integral part of the process rendering a kosher animal fit for consumption. The labeling stated otherwise, that the fat came from a de-veined animal slaughtered in accordance to halacha. (more…)

Veterinary inspectors have apprehended Yehuda Chamutzim selling tainted chickens believed from PA (Palestinian Authority) controlled Ramallah. He was apprehended bringing chickens from an “unknown source” and they were not properly refrigerated.  (more…)

Cream Soda with the product code 4860001121069 released by Lumisi JSC, and a strawberry flavored drink on a mineral water base product code 8809041424491, released by OKF-CO, advertise themselves under the supervision of the Chief Rabbinate. The claim is fraudulent and the products are not supervised and therefore, should not be purchased or carried on store shelves.  (more…)
