The Chief Rabbinate of Israel announced that the hashgacha has been restored to Assaf HaRofeh Hospital following the intervention of Rabbi Avraham Yaakobson, the Chief Rabbi of Be’er Yaakov.

Rabbi Yaakobson worked with hospital officials to reach an agreement by which the rabbanut’s demands for mashgiach coverage, sifting flour, shabbos timers, locking food pantries and other kosher related issues are met, permitting the hospital to once again be certified as kosher.

The new teudot kashrut from the Be’er Yaakov Rabbinate will be displayed on Sunday, 17 Sivan. Rabbinate officials report that as a result of the hospital’s compliance, the facility is already reliably kosher today, before the hashgacha certificates are in place.
