Triangle K Taking Corrective Action

Last week JKN reported that the Triangle K hashgacha appeared to have moved to a logo that seemed to duplicate the logo of Badatz Mehadrin, Rabbi Avraham Rubin.

A reader who assists JKN often contacted Rabbi Aryeh Ralbag of the Triangle K and the rav explained he was totally unaware of this and it was done without consulting with him or Triangle K.

The rabbi, who was out of the country, promises to take “immediate corrective action”, adding the logo was done by the Tomer Company and not Triangle K. He promises the logo made by Tomer would be destroyed.

I think this should have read as an apology to triangle K – the last piece blamed them when clearly it is Tomer who was/is at fault….

Dear Avi, You have a point that Rabbi Ralbag was not aware of the printing. However, as the head of the organization, he must take responsibility for all problems. If he wasn’t aware of this, it shows a certain amount of lack of responsibility.

well, since he promises to take action immediately that sounds pretty responsible.
