Unknown Hashgacha on Candies

The following information is translated from Chief Rabbinate of Israel Kashrus Enforcement Unit Bulletin 013/5774.

Inspectors found Heart Breakers Sours (strawberry) marked under the hashgacha of Rabbi Chasdan. This hashgacha is an unknown to the Chief Rabbinate and one is advised not to rely on it.

    Hershey USA “DOES NOT” list this product as kosher. One has to be especially careful on non-chocolate products produced by Hershey USA as some (e.g. Good & Plenty) are NOT KOSHER containing such ingredients as E120 – Carmine, animal gelatin and others. Cavaet Emptor!!!
    Don’t forget to check your Purim gift baskets as you might find some interesting surprises.
