From Chief Rabbinate Kashrus Update 019/5773
A quantity of treif meat packaged under the name “Prime” was apprehended in the Shipud Eilat Restaurant located at the Moria Promenade. The restaurants hashgacha was immediately pulled. After a number of weeks and an in-depth probe, the decision was made to restore the kosher supervision.
It is explained that due to the fact regulations for the packaging and distribution of treif meats were not adhered to, this meat was delivered to a kosher restaurant. The regulations seek to serve as a safeguard to prevent such an error from occurring.

I am appalled at the ease with which kashrut was restored to this restaurant. There should be a rule that any restaurant caught with nonkosher food automatically loses their hashgachah for at least a year. They – and the mashgiach – should have to check all meat when it comes in. BTW where was the mashgiach when the meat was delivered? And what steps were taken regarding the company that sold the meat to the restaurant? Are they still distributing treif and kosher meat? I for one will never frequent that restaurant again.
anyone really frum wouldn’t eat there anyway.the only good thing about it is that a mashgiach has a job!
