Bakery Inside ShuferSal Deal in Givat Shaul (Jerusalem)

This is an old story but it appears many readers still do not get it.

The teudat kashrut displayed below appears in the bakery section of the ShuferSal Deal store on Kanfei Nesharim Street in Givat Shaul.

If one reads it, one can clearly see the teudat kashrut tells us that the parve dough and bakery items from a Gidron factory in Petach Tikvah are under the hashgacha of Badatz Kehillas Chareidim.

It also says “the teudat kashrut only applies on frozen and half-frozen items in sealed packaging with kosher seals affixed”.

Hence, this in no way is a teudat kashrus for the bakery section!

Why do we need a teuda telling us that closed packages with heksherim are under their hashgacha? Shouldn’t that be obvious based on the packaging? Having teudot like this seem to have no purpose other than to mislead the public…

The Hechsher is issued for the bakery which need a Hechsher and that is clearly stated.

Misleading is the store who displays this Hechsher, which gives a false impression that the section is under supervision, knowing that people don’t read it properly.

Every Supersol etc. store is supposed to have a Mashgiach. One should go to him and ask if he checks that.
    2. the oven was new when they bought it or has been koshered by a reliable agent.
    3. he makes sure that no other items are baked in the oven
    4. that a Jew lights/puts it in the oven
