Olive Oil & Pomegranate Liqueur Alert

Chief Rabbinate of Israel

The following is taken from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel Update 025/2012.
Rabbi Zerach Eliyahu, who heads the Maale Yosef Council Rabbinate announces he does not give a hechsher to Turak Barnea extra virgin olive oil (תורק שמן זית ברנע) or the pomegranate liqueur manufactured in the Galil area. The products’ labels say “Kosher for Passover under the supervision of Rabbi Zerach Eliyahu” and this is fraudulent.

In the original update this is the photo on the right side of the page, the two photos next to items numbers 7,8 and 9. To see the entire Chief Rabbinate update in the original Hebrew, one may visit the Kosharot website.
