Heimeshe Essen (19 Keren Kayamet L’Yisrael Street, Jerusalem)

19 Tammuz 5772
July 9, 2012

The following is taken from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel Update 024/2012.

JKN reported on June 19, 2012 that the restaurant was cited in the Chief Rabbinate Kashrus Enforcement Division update 022/2012 for duping the public regarding hashgacha on take away meals purchased by hotels.

In this Chief Rabbinate alert it is reported the Jerusalem Rabbinate has removed its hashgacha from the store.

JKN contacted Badatz Agudas Yisrael to determine if it continues to give a hashgacha on the store. JKN was told that that at present, the badatz is not responsible for kashrus in the store.

Does this restaurant have any hashgacha whatsoever at this time and if so whose?

I can only speak for myself.

To the best of my knowledge it does not have hashgacha from anyone, at least that was the case at about 2:00pm Israel time on 19 Tammuz 5772.

Perhaps the situation has since changed. I do not know.

When I requested to see teudah they got all upset and flustered etc till finally produced rabbanut mehadrin. We walked out even though some of our group would have eaten r mehadrin…
