Kudos to Alert Mashgiach

In kashrus alert 22/2012, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel reports an alert mashgiach who is diligent in carrying out his responsibilities found shrimps mixed in a bag of skinless, headless and tailless bakala (hake/cod) fish. The fish order, from the Feldman Company, was delivered to a Kiryat Gat area caterer under the supervision of the local rabbinate.

The report states that there were a “few” shrimps mixed into the bag of fish and as a result of the mashgiach being vigilant, the shrimps were detected.

Just another reason why a store requires a reliable hashgacha and a mashgiach who is G-d fearing, properly trained and who takes the responsibility of the position seriously.

Doesn’t this also show that the local rabbinate, even in a non-central town like K.Gat is capable of keeping an eye on things?
