The Taiku restaurant on Emek Refaim Street in the capital is no longer under the hashgacha of the OU.
The former Taiku, in the same location, was a mehadrin meat restaurant with an OU mehadrin hashgacha.
This new Taiku has nothing to do with the previous owners or the OU, and the hashgacha is Jerusalem Rabbinate, regular, not mehadrin. it is dairy, not meat!
Unfortunately, the store sign still shows a partial OU and there may be a bit of the old Badatz Agudat Yisrael hechsher visible as well. When one person came in and asked, he was told that the hashgacha is OU, which is simply not true.
Once again, the only guarantee of a hashgacha is a valid teudat kashrut, not a store sign and not the word of an employee.
