FROM A READER
I was on your tour of the shuk yesterday, Monday 8/23. Wanted to thank you for the tour - a little wilder & crazier than you thought it would have been. It helped to reinforce what we already know but do not always follow - or as Uncle Moishy sings - read every label to verify the authenticity of the kashrut certificate.

Dear Yehiel,
I was on your shul tour last evening, 23 August.
Thank you, thank you for allowing me to understand all the "shtuyot" of the signage at the shuk and how these stores get away with it.
You've taught me skills on how to be a more vigilant kosher consumer when shopping at the shuk (and in general here in Israel).
There are lots of pitfalls to watch out for and I really, really appreciate all your efforts in working to correct them and to educate the public about them.
You are to be highly commended for your excellent work and the progress you have made. Thank you, thank you!
