Mitudela Ice Cream Store – (Aza & Mitudela Sts., Rechavia- Jerusalem)

mituldela-signWhile this place has become a favorite of locals, it has no kosher certificate.

The store does display a photocopy of a certificate for an ice cream company which has no bearing on the store. (Remember, if it is a photocopy, it immediately tells you that it is invalid. In this case, it is from a different Rabbanut, not Jerusalem, and for an ice cream factory, not the store).

The photocopy also tells us nothing regarding cones, toppings, syrups and other items used.

FROM A READER: Note that the te’udah for the ice cream in the ice cream store is expired as well. And I wasn’t seeing any readily available sign proving the ice cream was from that company

Thanks for the report & hopefully we’ll see follow up. There are a number of new eateries on Rechov Aza and would be great to find out which are under proper Hashgachot.
