I am compelled to bring this matter to the attention of the public, regarding R’ Yuval Cohen of Netivot, who according to the city’s chief rabbi, leaders in the field of kashering and treibering (de-veining) meat and from heads of the Chief Rabbinate Kashrut Department as well as local area rabbonim, all attesting to the unacceptable actions of the above mentioned party.

In addition, the book he wrote regarding the laws and tradition of schita (ritual slaughter) and treibering in accordance with the tradition of Yemen and Morocco is not based on truth, halacha, or tradition, and is baseless. The Rambam (Maimonides) already write about the man who viewed himself the Moshiach, who almost brought a severe prohibition on the people at that time. He concluded the man was mentally ill.

I rely on the testimony from the above mentioned rabbonim and experts and therefore, one mustn’t rely on the man mentioned in any way shape or form until he returns to the proper path and also that he shall act in accordance with the dictates of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.
