Kudos to Belz Machzikei Hadas!
I would like to use this forum to express thanks to R’ Yitzchak Yosef Ziegelman, a Belz kashrus supervisor, for seeing to it that the sign at Morano Nuts in Machane Yehuda Shuk has been indeed issued a new teudah as promised.
The new certificate says that “only the nuts and dried fruits” are under the mehadrin supervision of the agency.
The same holds true for the adjacent Badatz Beit Yosef sign [which always stated the candies are not under the agency’s certiciation].
That means folks that the store displays two mehadrin kashrut certificates, yet the candies sold on premises, comprising about half or more of the store’s content, and not under the supervision of either.
I remind you that the gummy type candies and the many varieties sold by weight are under an array of hechsherim, with some of the ones I checked not being mehadrin. The candies contain many ingredients demanding a good hechsher, including but not limited to colorings, flavorings and gelatin.

Abukasis Pastries
The business located in the Haifa Bay area has received mehadrin kashrut supervision from the Badatz Beit Yosef. Items are dairy and parve, and items distributed and sold elsewhere which are produced in the pastry bakery are under the BBY if they are in closed sealed and labeled packages only.
