IMHO, one serious problem is that the average Jew (who is not makpid on Cholov Yisroel) drinks cholov akum/stam wherever he is - not only davka in the US where there may be govt inspections.

I have seen frum American Jews drinking chalav akum in Hong Kong. The milk there comes from China. Can anyone say that RMF would have approved that?</description>

btw, the chazon ish also said "r moshe's hetter" but he didn"t preface it with a baal nefesh should be machmir.

somehow this kula of his is rarely mentioned. "they" only mention his next paragraph where he paskens against powder milk (not like r tzvi p. frank). it's brought down in a few teshuvos that somehow the chazon ish didn"t really mean just this kula.
